Sarah, 13, was with a family member receiving treatment at UCSF Hospital in San Francisco when she left to “get some air” and never returned. Unbeknownst to her family, she had decided to meet a 22-year-old man who had been flirting with her online. Our investigators worked with UCSF police, her family, and BART employees to help find Sarah. After a tip from a BART employee, police found Sarah at the San Francisco Ferry Building with the suspect. Sarah was returned home to her family. Although her “boyfriend” faced a litany of charges including possession of child pornography, using a minor for sex acts, sexual intercourse with an underage person — San Francisco District Attorney, Chesa Boudin, let him go free.

Predators are targeting children all over America. They do this because it is lucrative and they think they can get away with it. Children are often too trusting, and even the most engaged parent may not realize what is happening until after tragedy strikes. Special Operations’ network of undercover private investigators gathers the evidence to help law enforcement rescue victims and arrest the criminals. After the rescue, we ensure survivors remain safe and begin the journey of restoration. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes directly towards keeping kids safe. We cannot do this work without your support.
