SPECIAL OPERATIONS
An Unmet Need
Founded in 2017, Special Operations was born from an unmet need in our community — the need for boots-on-the-ground private forces to prioritize the search and recovery of at-risk youth in crisis situations who have a high risk of being exploited. We hire specialized private investigators to find the young victims, we get them the help they need, and we support law enforcement efforts to send their predators to prison.
LAW ENFORCEMENT NEEDS OUR HELP
Resource limitations and geographic restrictions prevent even the most dedicated law enforcement agencies from proactively searching for runaway or vulnerable children. While hundreds of thousands of tips about missing kids are sent to law enforcement agencies each year, they do not have the bandwidth to investigate these tips or engage in long searches for vulnerable children. The nature of sex trafficking also makes it difficult for law enforcement to pursue. When a groomed adolescent voluntarily gets into someone’s car, it is not classified as a criminal abduction and will not receive much attention from law enforcement. We gather the necessary evidence to elevate the case to a crime and gather the resources necessary to see that justice is served.
Our Intervention
Because we are a victim-centered charitable organization — and not the Government, or law enforcement — it feels less threatening to family and community members working with trauma victims to reach out to us for help. Our team of private investigators have decades of experience in CSEC and anti-trafficking work and know how to find both victims and predators.
We gather evidence that elevates cases of potential child sexual exploitation to the level of a crime. We work closely with federal agencies, law enforcement and other charitable organizations to proactively find and recover the young victims, and keep them safe. We work within our network to provide survivors with direct emergency assistance—housing, financial assistance, legal help, emotional support, counseling — so that they can begin the long journey of healing and restoration.
Special Operations tracks the survivors and their families to ensure they are protected for at least two years.
What’s Next?
Our Goal is to dispatch private investigative teams across America to protect vulnerable children from being sexually exploited. We want to see an America where the sexual exploitation of minors is eradicated because the risk to predators of being caught and held accountable is too high.
WE WANT A SOCIETY WHERE ALL CHILDREN ARE SAFE.
WE WANT A SOCIETY WHERE THE COMMERCIAL SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN IS ERADICTED BECAUSE
