SPECIAL OPERATIONS FINDING KIDS

An Unmet Need

Founded in 2017, Special Operations Finding Kids was born from an unmet need in our community — the need for boots-on-the-ground private investigators to help find at-risk youth in crisis situations who have a high risk of being exploited. We hire private investigators to find the young victims, our parent and survivor advocates get them the help they need, and we support law enforcement efforts to send the predators to prison.

LAW ENFORCEMENT NEEDS OUR HELP

Resource limitations and geographic restrictions prevent even the most dedicated law enforcement agencies from proactively searching for runaway or vulnerable children. While hundreds of thousands of tips about missing kids are sent to law enforcement agencies each year, they do not have the bandwidth to investigate these tips or engage in long searches for vulnerable children. When a groomed adolescent voluntarily gets into someone’s car, it is not classified as a criminal abduction and will often not receive much attention from law enforcement. We gather the necessary evidence to elevate the case to a crime and see that justice is served

Our Intervention

Because we are a victim-centered private organization — and not the government or law enforcement — it can feel less threatening to family and community members to reach out to us for support. Our team of private investigators, parent mentors and survivor advocates are trauma-informed professionals dedicated to providing  their expertize to families and children who are the most marginalized and vulnerable in society. As a registered 501(c)(3), we raise charitable funds to allow us to offer our services completely free of charge to the family.

We work closely with federal agencies, law enforcement and other charitable organizations to proactively find and recover the young victims, and keep them safe. We work within our network to provide survivors and their families with direct emergency assistance—housing, financial assistance, legal help, emotional support, counseling — so that they can begin the long journey of healing and restoration.

Working with the families and caregivers, Finding Kids attempts to track the survivors’ wellbeing and safety for at least two years.

What’s Next?

Our Goal is to dispatch private investigative teams across America to protect vulnerable children from being sexually exploited. We want to see an America where the sexual exploitation of minors is eradicated because the risk to predators of being caught and held accountable is too high.

WE WANT A SOCIETY WHERE ALL CHILDREN ARE SAFE.
WE WANT A SOCIETY WHERE THE COMMERCIAL SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN IS ERADICTED BECAUSE

JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED
