One Call Saved Brenda*

One Call Saved Brenda*

Recently, Brenda* (15) was reported missing. Within hours, our private investigator built leads, confirmed key details, and made one phone call that no one else thought to make. He called Brenda’s older sister in Virginia, informed her Brenda was missing, and asked her to provide any information she could.

A few hours later, Brenda reached out to her sister in Virginia, asking her to place a DoorDash order to a specific address. The sister then called our PI with Brenda’s exact location. He immediately shared Brenda’s current whereabouts with Concord PD, in Contra Costa County, who responded without delay. They located Brenda in a motel parking lot and safely recovered her.

As the local Sheriff’s Department looked further into this case and the evidence we provide, they decided to open a full sex trafficking investigation.

Brenda is home safe and she and her family are receiving the support they need.

Today, predators can reach vulnerable children through phones, social media, gaming platforms, and the internet, often before families realize something is wrong. Finding Kids responds through three core programs: Recover. Care. Target. We help locate missing and exploited children, support families during and after recovery, and work with law enforcement to identify and disrupt those who exploit youth. Our work continues after a child is found because recovery is only the beginning. By combining investigations, aftercare, and prevention, we help children return safely to their homes, schools, and communities while building a future where every vulnerable child receives help before crisis becomes exploitation. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes directly towards keeping kids safe. We cannot do this work without your support.
